(24 November 2008) With just a couple of webcams and a lot of heart, UMYAF WebTeam forged on with live media streaming of the 2008 Philippines Central Conference recently held at Central UMC, Manila.
They met with various difficulties and physical obstructions: Minimal funding, negligible staff, unpredictable Internet connection and challenging viewers are just some of these trials. Despite multiple setbacks during the conference itself, UMCPhilippines.org had an all-time high of 827 visits.
Most visitors to the site were grateful for the information shared through the live video and audio feed. Also noted were the regular updates on the balloting for the Episcopacy. Many expressed feelings of one-ness within the UMC in the Philippines through this endeavour.
One of the more popular features of the site is the chatbox that ran side by side with the video proceedings. It has become the new meeting place for Filipino Methodists from all over the world, a point of convergence for the Filipino diaspora. Old friends reconnect from across the globe, making new ones along the way.
What’s next for UMCPhilippines.org? For now, UMYAF WebTeam simply wants to celebrate the moment and keep some things under wrap. We all can look forward to a future with hope!

I am not a pro in video recording... just wanna share this simple software I've discovered online. You can use NCH Debut Video Capture. It can help enhance 1.3 megapixel webcam. It is easy to use tool that you can use to record video in your churches. You can download it here... http://5ed07247.linkbucks.com

I congratulate Mighty and Lynn and the rest of the Web Team for their tireless effort in keeping all Methodists all over the world updated during the PCC. God bless you more!
